Inspired by the remarkable monarch butterfly, Jennifer Lunden founded CCH to offer transformative mental health counseling to individuals, couples and groups. “In May 2011, I metamorphosed my business from a private practice to a licensed mental health agency. Now we’re a team of five like-minded therapists sharing ideas and inspiration with clients and each other.”
Lunden says that their mission at CCH is to help people access their creative and resourceful inner healers so they can transform stuck stories and step into happier and healthier lives. “We believe that good therapy is a dynamic collaboration built on authentic relationships.”
Lunden explained that CCH serves people of all income levels and takes private insurance as well as self-pay clients in addition to MaineCare and Medicare. Services include individual and couple’s counseling, group therapy, and supervision for other therapists looking to hone their skills. Lunden noted, “Working collaboratively with a CCH therapist, you’ll access your own inner knowing, learn to overcome barriers to change and growth, cultivate resilience, and claim the richness and integrity of your one invaluable life.”
In October 2012, Lunden was named Maine’s Social Worker of the Year by the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for her advocacy to prevent 65,000 low-income Mainers from losing MaineCare coverage. Plus she’s an award-winning writer who recently won the 2012 PUSHCART PRIZE for her essay, The Butterfly Effect. We congratulate her on both exciting honors!
